Georgia Dawn’s is owned by me, Emma, and my husband Garrett (along with our sweet pup Remi, who you may see from time to time as the store’s unofficial greeter!)

The name Georgia Dawn’s holds such a special place in our hearts. It’s inspired by Garrett’s grandmother, Georgia, and my grandmother, Donna. Both of them have such a deep love for others and a passion for caring for the people around them, something that continues to shape the heart behind this store.

My journey began in 2020 when I started making handmade earrings as a creative outlet. In 2021, that passion grew into a business called The Modern Iris. What started at my parents' kitchen table quickly expanded, and at one point, my jewelry was carried in over 13 locations across the United States.

​

In 2026, Garrett and I felt a clear calling from God to take the next step and open a storefront. With faith and excitement, Georgia Dawn’s was born.

Our heart behind the store is simple: to create a space in Sparta that feels welcoming, inspiring, and full of life. A place where you can find thoughtfully curated goods, support local makers, and feel a genuine sense of connection, all under one roof.

At the center of Georgia Dawn’s is a love for community. We’re passionate about highlighting local creators, hosting events, and building something that brings people together in a meaningful way.

The Modern Iris remains such a special part of the store, with its handmade jewelry featured both in-shop and in other locations across Tennessee.
